Holiday Heroes Toy Drive begins today
As a part of caring for some of Orange County’s most precious citizens, Mayor Teresa Jacobs’ Holiday Heroes Toy Drive is once again bringing the region together to make the holiday season brighter for children in need. Now in its sixth year, Mayor Teresa Jacobs’ Holiday Toy Drive begins today and collection ends on December 14th.
In keeping with Orange County’s Neighbors Helping Neighbors philosophy, citizens are encouraged to donate new, unwrapped toys for infants, children and teens during Mayor Teresa Jacobs’ Holiday Heroes Toy Drive. Since the Toy Drive’s inception, more than 17,250 toys have been distributed to local children.
Last year, the region collected more than 5,100 toys for area children.
Mayor Jacobs’ 2016 Holiday Heroes Toy Drive lasts until December 14th, 2016.
The Holiday Heroes Toy Drive is made possible by the countless hours donated by volunteers and the generous support of our partners, including Fox35, McDonald’s of Central Florida and City Year.
Your donation will benefit children in need through the help of the following organizations: Orange County Neighborhood Centers for Families, United Against Poverty (formerly the Community Food and Outreach Center), Orange County Public Schools, Wraparound Orange and the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program.
