Recently, our health has been put in the spotlight due to Covid-19, however, you need to remember that your immune system is still important even though the imminent threat has largely been reduced.

What Is Your Immune System?

Your immune system is built up by proteins, cells, and your various organs. It plays a crucial role in your body’s functions. It helps you to be protected from cell changes and harmful substances that could make you ill. As soon as your immune system detects harmful microbes it starters working to fight against them.

Sometimes your immune system may not fight these as easily, so, you become ill. Common symptoms such as headaches, fevers, fatigue, and sickness are from your immune system trying to fight. Usually, once it has fought - sometimes even just once - it will remember how to fight it again.

There is nothing that will boost your immune system immediately; however, there are many ways that you can look after your immune system and leave it stronger, such as vegan immune boosting supplements. Enough sleep

You have probably heard it time and time again: Sleep is important! When you are sleeping your body repairs, recuperates, and your immune system works extra hard to target inflammation and infection. So, when you sleep more during an illness, you are helping your immune system to work its magic and get you well again. Never treat sleep as a luxury; it is an essential part of your routine.
