The nearly 11,000-square-foot freestanding emergency room, located at 2757 West Orange Blossom Trail, is expected to open to patients this spring as part of HCA Florida Healthcare’s continued expansion across the state.
Apopka Mayor Bryan Nelson, community leaders, and HCA Florida Healthcare executives are scheduled to attend the ceremony, which begins at 9 am on February 27.
According to HCA Florida Healthcare, the new facility will provide a full range of emergency medical services for both children and adults. The emergency room will be staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, by board-certified emergency medicine physicians and nurses — operating similarly to a hospital-based emergency department.
Physicians and medical staff will treat a range of general and specific conditions, including infections, chest pain, and broken bones. Several diagnostic services will also be available on-site.
The addition of HCA Florida Wekiva Emergency expands emergency healthcare access in Apopka and surrounding communities, offering residents a local option for urgent medical care without traveling to a traditional hospital campus.
