Also arriving October 12 is The Chair Company, a new conspiracy comedy from Tim Robinson and Zach Kanin. The series centers on an ordinary man who, after an embarrassing workplace incident, unravels a wide-reaching workplace conspiracy.

For viewers craving a global palette, October on HBO Max also brings an expanded Japanese Drama Collectionstarting October 17. Highlights include Love Is for the Dogs, La Grande Maison Tokyo, Vivant, and Ignite, among others.

For horror fans who are not satisfied with just Derry, the platform is positioning a curated list of classic and modern horror staples — from A Nightmare on Elm Street to Talk to Me — to set the mood for the month.

Whether you lean toward terror, satire, or international drama, HBO Max is delivering a well-balanced slate this October. IT: Welcome to Derry promises to be the marquee event, but The Chair Company and the Japanese drama rollout ensure there’s something fresh for nearly every viewer.
