First responders appreciation night set for February 4th

Guns n' Hoses charity game to be played before Solar Bears vs. Swamp Rabbits

The Orlando Solar Bears announced the team will host its annual First Responders Appreciation Night and Guns n' Hoses charity hockey game on Saturday, February 4th when Orlando face the Greenville Swamp Rabbits at the ARS.com Rink at Amway Center at 7 p.m.

The fifth annual Guns n' Hoses game features the Central Florida Enforcers police hockey team against the Orange County Fire Rescue hockey team at the ARS.com Rink at Amway Center beginning at 2 p.m. The Central Florida Enforcers are raising money through ticket sales for C.O.P.S (Concerns of Police Survivors) while the Orange County Fire are raising money for the St. Baldrick's Foundation to assist children with cancer. These charities will also be the beneficiaries of the 50/50 raffle proceeds.

The Solar Bears will continue the tradition established last season in which the First Responders Appreciation jersey design would be inspired by the uniforms of the winning team from the previous year's Guns n' Hoses charity game. As such, the Solar Bears will wear special police-themed jerseys on Saturday night during their game against Greenville, resulting from the Central Florida Enforcers' 4-3 victory over Orange County Fire Rescue in last year's Guns n' Hoses charity game.

Fans who purchase tickets to the game between the Solar Bears and Swamp Rabbits at 7 p.m. will receive complimentary access to the Guns n' Hoses charity game at 2 p.m. Full instructions for fans on game day that wish to attend the Guns n' Hoses charity game will be released early next week.

Fans can support the teams and their respective charities by purchasing tickets through the following links. A portion of the ticket proceeds collected through the links below will be donated directly back to C.O.P.S. and the St. Baldrick's Foundation:
