The month begins with a large collection of licensed movies, including Alien, Aliens, all four Jaws films, Scarface, Sleepless in Seattle, Phantom Thread and three installments of the Resident Evil franchise.

Netflix’s original programming starts Sept. 1 with the comedy special Jared Freid: The Family Plan and the documentary Untold Raygun: Breaking Badly. The latter revisits the viral Olympic performance of Australian breakdancer Rachael Gunn and the misinformation and ridicule that followed it.

One of the month’s biggest premieres arrives Sept. 3, when Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen returns for its second season. The crime series continues the story of Eddie Horniman and the illicit empire operating beneath his family’s country estate.

The animated comedy DANG! and the fifth season of Israeli thriller Fauda arrive Sept. 8. That date also brings the stand-up special Stavros Halkias: Uncle Stav and the documentary Untold Mr. T: I Pity the Fool.

Netflix will move into live sports Sept. 10 with the NFL Melbourne Game between the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers. The game will stream from the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia.

Ryan Murphy’s true-crime anthology returns Sept. 17 with Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story. The series examines Borden’s trial and acquittal following the 1892 ax murders of her father and stepmother.

That day also brings the second season of the animated series Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, along with the dramas The Fixers, Not a Stranger and Plastic Beauty.

Later in the month, Netflix will introduce a new generation of Hillman College students with A Different World. The sequel series centers on the youngest child of Dwayne Wayne and Whitley Gilbert as she attempts to establish her own identity at her parents’ alma mater.

September’s movie slate also includes Unabomber, a drama inspired by the life of Ted Kaczynski, and Mononoke The Movie: Chapter III — The Curse of the Serpent. Family releases include Gabby’s Dollhouse, Pokémon Horizons, Wonka’s The Golden Ticket and LEGO ONE PIECE.

Netflix’s announced U.S. schedule remains subject to change and may receive additional titles during the month.
