In November 2023, Monarch will be the second TV series for the MonsterVerse franchise, which also includes big-screen movies with King Kong and Godzilla at the forefront. While Skull Island was an animated series on Netflix, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters is live-action and has some huge names joining the franchise. Kurt Russell is the headliner here as Lee Shaw while John Goodman reprises his role from Kong: Skull Island. The movie spans three generations, with Lee Shaw in the 1950s (played by Wyatt Russell) all the way to the present day after Godzilla and the Titans leveled San Francisco.
This series promises to unveil more about the mysterious Monarch, the organization that knows all about the monsters and has used them for their own means for years. The main focus is on two siblings following in their father's footsteps, and they try to learn how their family connects to Monarch. It is likely this series will somehow tie in with the upcoming 2024 movie Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. There will be 10 episodes with the finale arriving on January 12.

However, when they end up being sent to London to possibly find an aristocrat to fall in love with during the London Seasonal, the culture clash makes everything more difficult than it needs to be. The novel itself follows Nan (Kristine Forseth) and her eventual marriage to the Duke of Trevenick, but as the trailer shows, things are not always that easy. The series features eight episodes and ends on December 13.
