As we head toward Halloween, it's time to set up a packed schedule of entertainment to keep you warm and delighted. Prime Video is also gearing up with a slew of new, intriguing TV shows for this October, including highly anticipated sequels to popular shows, gripping international content, and a few thrillers.
While Prime Video has always been known for its versatility, thanks to its emphasis on providing something for everyone, October 2024 is jam-packed with an array of television shows, including a few highly anticipated spinoffs/remakes from popular franchises. On the other hand, there are also a few original series that you might want to check out, especially since not everyone has an appetite for remakes. So, without further ado, here's a list of every TV series available on Prime Video in October 2024.
The Legend of Vox Machina Season 3
Streaming Oct. 3
The Legend of Vox Machina is currently one of the most-watched Prime Video series, with a 100% Rotten Tomatoes rating that has been consistent over both seasons. Created by Brandon Auman, the series is based on Critical Role, the first campaign of the Dungeons & Dragons web series that has been an instant success since its debut in 2015. The official synopsis of The Legend of Vox Machina Season 3, according to Prime Video's logline, is as follows:
The Chroma Conclave’s path of destruction spreads like wildfire while the Cinder King hunts down Vox Machina. The lovable band of misfits must rise above their inner (and outer) demons to try and save their loved ones, the Tal’Dorei republic and all of Exandria.
The Legend of Vox Machina Season 3 will consist of 12 episodes, with three episodes airing weekly beginning Oct. 3.
The Office
Streaming Oct. 18
Some TV shows are simply destined to be made in multiple regions due to their massive fan base. Ghosts and The Office serve as strong instances of how reboots have been enormously successful, with the latter particularly amassing new fans year after year. Created by Julie De Fina and Jackie van Beek, The Office is an Australian remake of the original, starring notable actors such as Felicity Ward, Josh Thomson, and Steen Raskopoulos.
This hit series from NBC features one of the funniest casts in the history of television. These are the characters with the most screen time.
In the new remake, Hannah Howard, the managing director of Flinley Craddick, is deeply attached to her 'work family' and would go to any extent to keep them together and happy. When word spreads that their branch will be shut down, she makes promises that are difficult to keep. All episodes of The Office Season 1 will be available on Prime Video on Oct. 18.
The Devil’s Hour Season 2
Streaming Oct. 18
It has been almost a year since the deadly duo of Peter Capaldi and Jessica Raine faced off in the psychological thriller The Devil's Hour. Created by Tom Moran, the series follows Lucy Chambers, a woman who wakes up at 3:33 am every day due to disturbing visions. Eventually, her visions lead her to the brutal killer, Gideon, who seems to be establishing an uneasy alliance in the second season, as suggested by the synopsis. While Lucy struggles to balance her dual responsibilities of family and duty, the duo must also track down an elusive monster who has the potential to change the lives of these individuals. The Devil's HourSeason 2 will be released on Prime Video on Oct. 18.
Citadel: Diana
Streaming Oct. 10
Citadel, the hit Prime Video spy action series, has proven successful in many languages, with spin-offs taking place in countries like India, Spain, and Mexico. While not all of these spin-offs have been released, the Italian spin-off is also gearing up for its release. Titled Citadel: Dianaand created by Alessandro Fabbri, the upcoming spy action series is set in 2030, eight years after the disaster that wiped out the global agency Citadel.
