A proposed 106-lot plat at Crossroads at Kelly Park and plans for 59 single-family lots along West Ponkan Road are among the items heading to Apopka’s Development Review Committee on Wednesday, September 30. The committee will meet at 9 am in the City Hall Commission Chambers.

The Crossroads at Kelly Park Phase 3B application seeks a final plat for 106 lots near Soapberry Avenue. This is the first plat submission to the committee. A separate Crossroads proposal would add an amenity park on Zephyr Lily Avenue, with a clubhouse, pool, playground, mail kiosk, and parking.

On West Ponkan Road, Paulucci Acres Pod 2 is proposed as a 59-lot single-family development. Its major development plan is also appearing before the committee for the first time.

The DRC will review a revised construction site plan for the proposed Apopka K-8 Charter School at 1829 and 1839 Plymouth Sorrento Road, near West Lester Road. The agenda describes it as the first submission of the revision but does not explain what has changed from the earlier plan.

Another construction item concerns access to Wyld Oaks Lot 7. The proposal calls for approximately 900 linear feet of access roads along West Kelly Park Road between Effie Drive and State Road 429. It is on its fourth submission, indicating the plans have been through earlier rounds of review.

Three special event applications are also on the agenda. A Turkey Trot run and walk is proposed for November 21 from 7 to 9 am at the Northwest Recreation Complex. Christmas in the Park, described as a festival, resource fair, and toy giveaway, is proposed for December 19 from noon to 8 pm at Edwards Field on East First Street.

The third application is for a Zerbini Family Circus event at Edwards Field.

The meeting includes a public comment period. Items listed for review are proposals, and their appearance on the agenda does not mean they have received final approval.
