Domino's stores celebrate teachers with gift certificates for a free pizza
ORLANDO, June 6, 2016 – Summer is here and Domino’s stores throughout Central Florida are thanking local teachers for yet another great school year! To celebrate teachers and all that they do, 76 local Domino’s stores recently handed out gift certificates for free medium one-topping carryout pizza to teachers throughout Orange, Osceola and Polk counties.
"All owners and franchises for the last three years agreed to offer these hard working teachers this gift of a medium pizza, said Josh Gabish, Operating Partner at the Apopka Domino's Pizza. "It's something we do to recognize them and thank them for all the hard work they do all year long." Gabisch also mentioned that, "both of my children attended Apopka schools."
“Teachers are the core to kids’ education and they often have a thankless job,” said Rich Price, another Central Florida Domino’s Pizza franchise owner. “The school year is over and all of the Central Florida Domino’s owners wanted to come together to show how much we appreciate educators throughout the area.”
Local Domino’s stores recently handed out more than 19,000 gift certificates for free medium one-topping carryout pizzas to teachers across 300 schools in surrounding counties.
“Many teachers dedicate their lives and work extremely hard to educate our youth, and they do it without praise or recognition,” said Price. “Giving away pizza is the least we can do to say ‘thank you.’”
