Summer streaming season is arriving in a big way on Disney+.

The platform’s June lineup features one of the year’s biggest streaming premieres in Avatar: Fire and Ash, along with new original series, expanded Hulu content, animated favorites, live sports, concert events, and new additions from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic.

The biggest title arriving in June is “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” the third installment in James Cameron’s Pandora saga. Disney says the film follows Jake Sully and his family as they face the Ash People and attempt to prevent another devastating loss following the events of the previous films. The movie premieres on June 24.

Disney+ is also leaning heavily into crossover programming with Hulu, bringing several comedy and drama premieres directly into the Disney ecosystem for bundle subscribers. Among the most talked-about arrivals is Not Suitable for Work, a workplace comedy from Mindy Kaling centered on ambitious young professionals in Manhattan.

Animation fans will see several additions throughout the month, including new episodes of Disney Jr. Ariel, Chibiverse, and “Locker Diaries: Phineas and Ferb.”

Disney is also continuing to expand its streaming event strategy with live sports and entertainment programming tied to ESPN and special concert broadcasts.

Meanwhile, longtime science fiction fans will get a darker revisit to The X-Files: I Want to Believe when a new director’s cut version arrives June 11. Director Chris Carter said the updated release restores material that was previously removed from the theatrical version.

The month also continues Disney’s aggressive expansion of franchise content following the theatrical release of The Mandalorian and Grogu, which debuted in theaters in May.

While release schedules can change, Disney’s current June calendar gives subscribers one of the platform’s busiest months so far in 2026.
