The Apopka Development Review Committee (DRC) will meet on Wednesday morning to review a slate of special event applications and several significant development proposals scheduled across the city

Among the special events up for review are multiple concerts and festivals proposed for the Apopka Amphitheater in spring 2026, including a Throw Back Reunion, a country music show, a reggae concert, and Music Fest Orlando. The agenda also includes the Orange Blossom Jazz Festival hosted by the Apopka High School Band, the Bahia Shrine 5K Camel Walk/Run, a Valor Youth Camp fundraising event, and the City of Apopka’s annual New Year’s Eve Fifth Street Ball Drop.

On the development side, the committee will consider a replat request for Wyld Oaks Lot 7, located along West Kelly Park Road between Effie Drive and State Road 429. The proposal would create three parcels, dedicate public right-of-way, and modify existing tract boundaries. Wyld Oaks is part of a large, long-term mixed-use development planned for the Kelly Park area that has previously been reviewed by the city for infrastructure and roadway coordination as development progresses.

The DRC will also review a construction site plan for a proposed Apopka K–12 Charter School at 1839 Plymouth Sorrento Road. The first-submittal plan lists the project as an educational facility, and preliminary public descriptions of the site indicate a sizable campus concept that includes academic buildings and associated athletic amenities. The property is located near the State Road 429 and State Road 414 corridor, an area experiencing continued growth and development

Additional agenda items include a major development plan for Ondich North, proposing 196 single-family residential lots near Ondich Road and SR 453/429, and a review of a planned development agreement for Paulucci Acres at Vick Road and West Ponkan Road, which includes both residential and commercial components. The meeting will conclude with discussion items and adjournment.

The meeting is scheduled for 9 am at the Council Chambers of Apopka City Hall, or can be viewed on the City's YouTube Channel.
