Orange Audubon Society’s 37th annual Kit and Sidney Chertok Florida Native Nature Photography Contest has an entry deadline of April 30th. The contest's mission is to promote interest and concern for preserving the native fauna and flora of Florida. The contest divisions are: NOVICE: For new and less experienced amateur photo hobbyists;  ADVANCED: For experienced photographers who have practiced and honed their skills over time. The Novice and Advanced Category entry fee is $5 per image for Audubon members; $10 per image for Non-Audubon members. YOUTH: For participants 17 years of age or younger at time of entry. The Youth category entry fee is $2 per image for Audubon members, $4 per image for non-Audubon members. A maximum of 5 images can be submitted per person. To see a list of prizes and more details or for entry forms, go to:

The contest culminates on June 19, 2025, when winners will be announced during Orange Audubon Society’s program at Leu Gardens—an evening that promises to showcase not only technical skill and artistic expression, but also a shared reverence for Florida’s native wildlife and wild places. Whether you're a seasoned pro with years behind the lens or a teenager discovering photography for the first time, this contest offers more than just a chance to win prizes—it’s an opportunity to connect with nature, celebrate its beauty, and contribute to its conservation, one frame at a time.
