The new store is part of a larger company milestone, as Curaleaf simultaneously opened another dispensary in Girard, Ohio. With these dual launches, the company now operates 69 dispensaries in Florida, five in Ohio, and 157 nationwide.
“Each new store opening reflects our mission to expand safe, convenient access to high-quality cannabis across the country,” said Boris Jordan, Curaleaf Chairman and CEO. “With Apopka, we are deepening our roots in Florida by serving an important new region for medical patients.”
The Apopka dispensary carries a wide portfolio of products, including Curaleaf’s Select brand vapes and edibles, Florida-exclusive Reef flower, Grassroots Dark Heart Collection flower, Anthem and Miss Grass pre-rolls, and more. To ensure patient satisfaction, Curaleaf Florida has also introduced a 72-hour Flower Satisfaction Guarantee on select premium eighths from Reef and Grassroots.
Store hours are Monday through Saturday from 9:00 AM to 8:30 PM, and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
A grand opening celebration will take place on Friday, September 19, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. It will feature a ribbon-cutting with the Apopka Chamber of Commerce, promotions and giveaways, refreshments, and a “Live Lounge” livestream with Curaleaf cultivation leaders.
Curaleaf’s expansion comes amid steady growth in Florida’s medical marijuana industry, which has surged since voters approved a constitutional amendment legalizing cannabis for medical use in 2016. Apopka’s new dispensary adds convenience for registered patients in northwest Orange County and the Greater Orlando area.
