From the City of Apopka
Halloween is a thrilling celebration originating from ancient traditions. It has become a festive occasion filled with trick-or-treating, haunted houses, and costume parties. Children and adults don creative costumes, from classic ghosts and witches to modern pop culture icons, showcasing their unique flair and imagination.
Homes are often adorned with spooky decorations, flickering jack-o'-lanterns, and eerie lights, creating an enchanting atmosphere. The night is filled with a sense of adventure as communities come together to share in the excitement, making Halloween a time for both fun and fright.
In Apopka, much of that tradition is infused into a celebration held at one of its most prominent parks.
From the City of Apopka:
Halloween in the Park is a free, family-friendly Trick-or-Treating event with kid activities, vendors, and more. With vibrant decorations, interactive booths, and an array of fun activities, the atmosphere is filled with excitement and creativity. Children can enjoy trick-or-treating, carnival games, and costume contests, showcasing their imaginative outfits.
Live entertainment, including local performers and spooky music, adds to the cheerful ambiance. As the sun sets, the park becomes a magical wonderland, bringing the community together to celebrate fall traditions and Halloween spirit.
The event is free, family-friendly trick-or-treating with children's activities, vendors, and more. It's on October 26th, from 10 AM to 12 PM at Kit Land Nelson Park.
Children can trick or treat around the park, stopping at various vendor booths. Kids activities will include a bounce house, face painters, costume contest (ages infant to 12 years), vendors, and more! Don’t forget to bring your bags for trick-or-treating.
