From early-morning planning discussions to evening deliberations on neighborhood development, four important meetings will provide updates on projects, policies, and programs shaping the city’s future.
Development Review Committee – 9:00 a.m.
The day begins with the Development Review Board meeting, where planners and developers review proposals for new construction and renovations across the city. One key agenda item is the site plan review for a proposed multi-family residential complex, which could add dozens of new housing units to the community.
Municipal Impact Fee Extraordinary Circumstance Workshop – 1:00 p.m.
City officials will then hold a workshop on municipal impact fees under extraordinary circumstances. A main topic will be potential fee adjustments for a new commercial development on Binion Road, with discussions focusing on balancing developer costs with city infrastructure needs.
City Council Meeting – 1:30 p.m.
The City Council will convene immediately after the workshop, featuring proclamations, consent items, and public hearings. An important item on the agenda is the approval of the Interlocal Agreement with the Central Florida Expressway Authority for the Binion Road/SR 429 half interchange project, which could improve traffic flow in northern Apopka.
Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Meeting – 5:00 p.m.
The day concludes with the Community Development Agency meeting, which focuses on initiatives to support local neighborhoods and economic development.
