From the City of Apopka
The City of Apopka released the following statement on its website about local road closures:
For your safety and the safety of others, we ask that you please use caution while traveling in our construction zones. Allow a few extra minutes; please do not follow too closely and watch for traffic merging in and out of work zones. And, especially while workers are present, please refrain from using your cell phone while traveling through an active work zone.

Nightly SR 429 Ramp Closures:
The ramp from eastbound SR 414 to southbound SR 429 (Exit 4B) is scheduled to close intermittently from Sunday, May 18 to Thursday, May 22, from 10 PM to 6 AM, for road work. Drivers will be directed to exit at Marden Road (Exit 5), travel south to West Keene Road, drive west to Ocoee Apopka Road, and then access southbound SR 429 from Ocoee Apopka Road. Please allow extra travel time.
Overnight SR 429 Ramp Closure:
The ramp from northbound SR 429 to Ocoee Apopka Road (Exit 29) is scheduled to close intermittently on Wednesday, May 21 and Thursday, May 22, from 10 PM to 6 AM, for road work. Drivers will be directed to exit at West Road (Exit 26) to access Ocoee Apopka Road. Please allow extra travel time.
The ramp from southbound SR 429 to West Road (Exit 26) is scheduled to close intermittently on Wednesday, May 21 and Thursday, May 22, from 9 PM to 6 AM, for road work. Drivers will be directed to exit at Plant Street (Exit 24) to access West Road. Please allow extra travel time.
Overnight Forest Lake Main Plaza Cash Lane Closures:
The southbound cash lanes at the SR 429 Forest Lake Main Plaza are scheduled to close intermittently on Wednesday, May 21 and Thursday, May 22, from 9:30 PM to 5 AM, for overhead sign work. All traffic will be diverted through the E PASS lanes with no violation. Minor delays are possible.
Nightly Ocoee Apopka Road Closures Under SR 429:
Ocoee Apopka Road under SR 429 is scheduled to close intermittently from Sunday, May 18 to Thursday, May 22, from 10 PM to 6 AM, for bridge work. Northbound drivers will be directed to Harmon Road and southbound drivers will be directed to South Binion Road.
