Students get "hired" in Mr. Brown's class
AVID students in Mr. Brown's class had an opportunity to participate in live mock interviews. They were assisted by former Human Resource Manager from from Universal Studios, Javier Zayas. The students were able to act as both employers and applicants to simulate a real life interview scenario. Students were picked as either an employers or an applicants at the beginning of class and were allowed to interview as many students as possible.
The students that were "hired" received a prize. The employers were only allowed to pick one applicant out of many who had applied. At the end of class, Mr. Zayas also gave the students great interview tips for the future.
