As Central Florida Community Arts celebrates its 15th anniversary, the organization is spotlighting both its legacy and its vision for the future with two milestone concerts. Dreaming Together, performed November 14–15, brings hundreds of choir and orchestra members together to relive musical highlights from the past decade and a half. In December, Celebrate the Season returns with CFCArts’ first-ever sensory-friendly performance, designed to welcome individuals and families with sensory sensitivities. Executive Director Justin Muchoney calls the adaptation “a meaningful leap forward” in creating belonging through the arts. Together, these events embody CFCArts’ enduring mission — to connect, inspire, and include through the transformative power of community performance.

Central Florida Community Arts (CFCArts) marks its 15th anniversary with two milestone celebrations that capture the heart of its mission: the Community Choir’s November concert Dreaming Together and the debut of a sensory-friendly version of Celebrate the Season in December. Both events underscore CFCArts’ dedication to connection, creativity, and inclusion.

On November 14 and 15, more than 300 singers from the organization’s founding program, the Community Choir, and over 50 Symphony Orchestra members will present a sweeping concert of musical favorites from the past 15 years. From exhilarating choral classics to pop and Broadway showstoppers, the program celebrates the friendships, stories, and dreams that have shaped the organization since its first rehearsal in 2010.

“Dreaming Together is about more than music. It’s about the relationships and sense of belonging that have grown alongside CFCArts over the past decade and a half,” said CFCArts Executive Director Justin Muchoney. “Every note, every song, every story shared on stage is a reflection of our community and its dreams, dedication, and joy. It’s a celebration of where we’ve been and an invitation to dream about the future we want to create together.”

The festivities continue into December with Celebrate the Season, CFCArts’ annual holiday spectacular performed by its 400-member Symphony Orchestra and members of the Community Choir.

This year, the organization is introducing a sensory-friendly concert, taking place on December 3 at 7 p.m. The adapted performance will feature a reduced concert length, limited volume and lighting effects, and a welcoming environment for audience members with sensitivities and their families. A list of sensory-friendly modifications can be found on the event page.

Since its beginning, CFCArts has sought to make participation in the performing arts accessible to everyone, regardless of age, background, or experience. The sensory-friendly concert represents the next step in that ongoing journey, extending the same invitation to audiences.

“As we celebrate 15 years of creating belonging through the arts, it’s important to keep expanding what belonging looks like,” Muchoney said. “Offering a sensory-friendly concert is a meaningful leap forward. Everyone deserves to experience the joy, beauty, and connection of live performance, and this adaptation ensures more of our community can share in that magic.”

Celebrate the Season will feature the organization’s trademark holiday fun, with hundreds of musicians, stunning arrangements, and festive favorites performed on an epic scale. For those who wish to experience the full CFCArts spectacle, Celebrate the Season returns on December 4 and 5.

Together, Dreaming Together and Celebrate the Season mark a defining moment in CFCArts’ history – a look back on years of shared dreams and a look forward to a future of greater inclusion, connection, and joy.

“These anniversary events represent the heart of what CFCArts does best,” Muchoney said. “We’re honoring our past, celebrating who we are, and looking forward to a future where more people can participate, perform, and feel the sense of belonging that comes with being part of a vibrant community.”
