In Summary:

Thousands of uncashed checks are currently being held by the Orange County Clerk of Courts, and eligible recipients have until September 1 to claim them. The checks include refunds, vendor payments, restitution, and cash bonds that were never cashed, often because recipients moved or misplaced the payments. Any money not claimed by the deadline will be forfeited and deposited into the Clerk's Fine and Forfeiture Fund as required by Florida law.
