Breaking News Overnight: SUV driver dies after a single-vehicle collision in Suwannee County

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle collision last night in Suwannee County that resulted in the death of the driver.

According to the FHP report, at approximately 7:10 pm, an Acura sport utility vehicle driven by a 51-year-old Live Oak man was traveling east on 96th Street. As it advanced, the SUV veered onto the southern shoulder of 96th Street and collided with a tree.

The driver was transported to Suwannee Emergency Room, where he was pronounced deceased by Dr Aaron Fuller at 8:02 pm.

The FHP did not release the driver's name involved in the collision.
