Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a collision in Citrus County last night that resulted in the death of a pedestrian.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 11:22 PM a Chevy Traverse, driven by a 55-year-old Homosassa man, was traveling southbound on US-19.
South of Ivy Place, a 64-year-old Branson, Missouri man crossing the highway entered the path of and was struck by the vehicle.
The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash. T
The driver, as well as a 23-year-old Homosassa woman traveling as a passenger in the vehicle, suffered no injuries during the incident.
The FHP did not release the names of the driver, passenger, or pedestrian.
