Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a collision in Pasco County last night that resulted in the death of a pedestrian.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 10:05 pm, a Buick Century, driven by a 30-year-old Holiday man, was traveling eastbound on Plathe Road.
East of Acropolis Lane, a 58-year-old New Port Richey man was walking in or across the roadway and was struck by the vehicle.
Transported to an area hospital, the pedestrian later died from injuries suffered during the crash.
The FHP did not release the name of the driver or pedestrian involved in the incident.
