Breaking News Overnight: Motorcyclist dies after a two-vehicle collision in Hillsborough County

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle collision this morning in Hillsborough County that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.

According to the FHP report, at approximately  2:06 AM, a Yamaha motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed and operated by a 39-year-old Orlando man, was traveling eastbound on I-4 west of US-301 in the center lane. 

As he advanced, the motorcyclist overturned, traveled into the inside lane, and collided with the rear of an Audi Q7, driven by a 67-year-old Seminole man. 

The motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries at the scene of the crash.  The second driver and passengers traveling within the vehicle suffered no injuries as a result of the crash. 

The FHP did not release the names of the driver, motorcyclist, or passengers involved in the collision.
