Breaking News Overnight: Motorcyclist dies after a single-vehicle collision in Manatee County

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle collision in Manatee County this morning that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 12:32 am, a 25-year-old Riverview man riding a 2025 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle was traveling southbound on Interstate 75 at a high rate of speed. As he advanced, the rider lost control while traveling on the off-ramp at U.S. 301 (Exit 224).
The vehicle struck the guardrail on the right side of the shoulder, and the motorcyclist was separated from his motorcycle.
Manatee County EMS pronounced him deceased on the scene.
The Florida Highway Patrol Traffic Homicide Unit continues to investigate this traffic crash.
The FHP did not release the motorcyclist's name involved in the collision.
