From the Florida Highway Patrol
Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a collision last night in Pasco County that resulted in a motorcyclist being seriously injured and a driver fleeing the scene.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 11:21 PM an unknown (possibly silver) SUV, and operated by an unknown driver, was traveling southbound on Grand Boulevard.
At the same time, a Harley Davidson Street Glide, operated by a 60-year-old Holiday man, was traveling eastbound on Sunray Drive.
At the intersection of the two roadways, the first driver failed to comply with a traffic signal, entered the path of and struck the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
Following the collision, the first driver fled the scene and was last seen southbound on Grand Boulevard.
