Breaking News Overnight: Driver dies after a single-vehicle collision in Bradford County

Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle crash this morning in Bradford County that resulted in the death of the driver.

According to the FHP report, at approximately 2 am, a Chevy Trailblazer was traveling southbound on SE 109th Street heading towards SE 45th Ave.

The vehicle exited the roadway on the west shoulder. The driver overcorrected when returning to the travel lane, causing the vehicle to rotate counterclockwise while exiting the roadway on the east shoulder. The vehicle continued to travel off the west shoulder, striking a tree with the front right of the vehicle, coming to a final rest facing northeast.

The vehicle became fully engulfed in flames, with the driver trapped inside. The driver was pronounced deceased on the scene.

This case is pending further investigation.

The FHP did not release the name or description of the driver involved in the collision.
