From the Florida Highway Patrol
Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle collision this morning in Osceola County that resulted in the death of the driver.
According to the FHP report, a 2017 Mitsubishi Lance driven by a 23-year-old Kissimmee man, was traveling southbound of Water’s Edge Drive south of Lost Creek Court.
As it advanced the driver failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the roadway into a retention pond, overturned and was submerged in water.
The driver was pronounced deceased at the crash scene.
The exact time of the crash remains under investigation.
The FHP did not release the name of the driver.
