Here is what Apple has announced for August.

‘Ted Lasso’ returns for season four

“Ted Lasso” begins its fourth season Wednesday, Aug. 5, with Jason Sudeikis returning as the relentlessly optimistic American coach.

This time, Ted returns to Richmond to coach a second-division women’s soccer team. Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt and Jeremy Swift are among the returning cast members.

The 10-episode season will release one episode each Wednesday. Four episodes will arrive during August, beginning with the premiere Aug. 5 and continuing Aug. 12, 19 and 26. Apple’s “Ted Lasso” announcement

‘Women in Blue’ takes on a new investigation

The second season of “Women in Blue,” also known as “Las Azules,” premieres Wednesday, Aug. 12.

The Spanish-language crime drama returns with María promoted to lieutenant and struggling between her obligation to follow department rules and her determination to uncover the truth.

The discovery of a student activist’s body draws María and the other Azules into a case connected to the student massacre of 1968. Bárbara Mori, Ximena Sariñana, Natalia Téllez and Amorita Rasgado return to lead the cast.

New episodes will stream weekly, with three arriving during August. Apple’s “Women in Blue” announcement

‘Stillwater’ offers five new family stories

The gentle, award-winning animated series “Stillwater” returns for its fifth season Friday, Aug. 21.

Based on Jon J Muth’s “Zen” books, the series follows a wise panda who helps siblings Karl, Addy and Michael understand their feelings, relationships and the world around them.

All five new episodes will become available on the premiere date. The first four seasons are already available to stream. Apple’s “Stillwater” announcement

The three-part documentary series examines the University of Connecticut women’s basketball program’s four decades under Hall of Fame coach Geno Auriemma.

The series will revisit the championships, players and defining moments that helped turn UConn into one of the most successful programs in college sports history. Matthew Hamachek and Erica Sashin directed the series. Apple’s UConn documentary announcement

‘Dark Matter’ reopens the Box

The science-fiction thriller stars Joel Edgerton as physicist Jason Dessen and Jennifer Connelly as his wife, Daniela. After apparently finding safety at the end of the first season, the Dessen family is again forced to run when a new threat emerges.

Jason’s deepening obsession with the Box and Daniela’s increasing suspicion threaten their fragile stability. Elsewhere, Amanda and Ryan join forces in an effort to find their way home.

The season will contain 10 episodes, with a new installment arriving each Friday following the premiere. Apple’s “Dark Matter” announcement
