From Staff Reports
Apple TV+ is using October to showcase its range. The streamer is leaning into tense thrillers, big-name documentaries, and imaginative children’s programming, offering subscribers both comfort viewing and buzzy new originals.
The month opens on October 3 with The Lost Bus, a disaster drama based on true events, and The Sisters Grimm, a fantasy adventure designed to hook younger viewers with magic, mystery, and sibling loyalty. Together, they set the tone for a month of contrasts: gritty realism on one side, whimsical escapism on the other.

On October 10, crime and survival fans get their fix with The Last Frontier, a thriller set against Alaska’s unforgiving wilderness. It’s a bold swing for Apple TV+, blending prestige drama with pulse-pounding action.
Mid-month offers a return to comedy, as October 15 brings back Loot for its third season. Starring Maya Rudolph, the series continues its mix of philanthropy satire and workplace hijinks, proving Apple isn’t neglecting lighter fare.
For cinephiles, October 17 marks the debut of Mr. Scorsese, a deep-dive docuseries on one of cinema’s greatest directors. Later in the month, on October 24, Stiller & Meara: Nothing Is Lost, a touching look at the legendary comedy duo, will be delivered.
Closing out the month on October 29 is Down Cemetery Road, a suspenseful thriller aimed squarely at viewers craving moody mystery.
Apple TV+ may not flood the calendar with as many titles as its competitors, but October shows that quality and variety remain its calling cards. From Alaska’s snowy back roads to Scorsese’s editing room, the platform is betting there’s a reason for everyone to tune in.
