Apopka’s weekend calendar is packed with entertainment, civic engagement, and community celebration. Saturday kicks off with Apopka Recycles Day at Edwards Field, offering residents the opportunity to shred documents and responsibly dispose of electronics. The afternoon brings creative energy to downtown with an Artsgiving competition at Propagate Social House, as well as a family-friendly fall festival and dessert auction on Hogshead Road. As evening arrives, the city comes alive with live music, including the popular Saturday Sounds concert featuring the O-Town Motown Tribute Band at the Apopka Amphitheater, followed by the Harvest Sounds Band Showcase downtown. The weekend wraps with Rock & Roll Music Bingo on Sunday night—offering plenty of reasons for residents to get out and enjoy their community.

Apopka is buzzing this weekend with a rich mix of community-driven gatherings that bring together music, civic service, and fall festivity. On Saturday, the free concert series Saturday Sounds returns at the Apopka Amphitheater (3710 Jason Dwelley Parkway) from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., featuring the soul-inspired tribute group O‑Town Motown Tribute Band. Later that evening, the downtown 5th Street area hosts the Harvest Sounds Band Showcase (7:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m.), spotlighting jazz bands from Apopka High School and Wekiva High School—a fundraiser to support their upcoming travel opportunities.

Also on Saturday morning, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the city’s annual Apopka Recycles Day 2025 will take place at Edwards Field (E. 1st Street), offering electronic recycling and document shredding services for residents.
