Apopka resumes normal garbage collection schedule on Friday

The City of Apopka released the following statement about its garbage collection schedule:

"The Apopka Sanitation Division will resume regular garbage cart pickups on Friday, October 11th.

If your pickup day was on Thursday, your next pickup will be Monday, October 14th.

Bulky items and a limited number of bags or cans of regular yard waste will be collected. However, we were already behind schedule before Hurricane Milton, so these collections will continue to be delayed for the foreseeable future.

The debris contractor has been activated and will begin curbside pickup of storm debris early next week. Further details will be released as they develop. Continue to monitor our Alert Center for updates."
