Habitat for Humanity celebrates a holiday home dedication

Habitat of Humanity of Seminole County and Greater Apopka will welcome the Campbell family home for the holidays in Apopka next week.

Shalanta is a lifelong member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church and mother of three girls, Heaven, Halo, and Harmony. A Respiratory Therapist Assistant with AeroCare Medical, Shalanta and her family have faced many housing challenges with few options and most times alone. The dream and possibility of a home was unimaginable beyond her 2-bedroom apartment in Apopka - sharing one with her baby while the two older girls shared the other.

All of that changes as Shalanta and her beautiful girls get ready for a new life in their forever home.e1ce5ec5-bf63-48a0-89f1-05db6e7a0098

I’m tremendously blessed with this dream come true”, Shay shares with a gleam in her eye. “My life will change and rise forever with this opportunity”.

Built in partnership with the Coca-Cola Company and Annunciation Catholic Church, the dedication will be held this Tuesday at 5:30 PM; 2020 Adams Ridge Road, Apopka, FL 32703. The event is open to the public.
