Performance Update

The City of Apopka regretfully announces that Sawyer Brown has made the difficult decision to cancel their performance at the upcoming Apopka Proud Concert on October 5, 2024, due to unexpected health concerns. Unfortunately, Sawyer Brown’s performance will not be rescheduled.

Due to the short timeframe the City was unable to secure a replacement co-headliner for the Apopka Proud Concert this Saturday.

Tickets purchased for the original show will still be valid at the event and will receive a 50% refund on the paid ticket price. This refund will be automatically issued back to your original payment method. If you would like to cancel your ticket and receive a full refund, please visit Eventbrite.com and request your refund.

We appreciate your understanding and continued support. The Apopka Proud Concert remains dedicated to delivering a memorable experience.

About the Concert

Apopka native John Anderson, a recent inductee into the Country Music Hall of Fame, will return to the Apopka Amphitheater with an acoustic set and his newest album, Years. Known for his No. 1 hits “Swingin’” and “Straight Tequila Night,” Anderson is making his comeback after a major health setback. He approached this latest album with the mindset that it might be his last. Now recovered, he continues to deliver the heartfelt storytelling and eloquent love songs that have defined his twenty-two-album career.

Dallas Tyler, another talented local and aspiring country artist, will be the opening act.

Apopka Proud tickets are available on Eventbrite with various purchasing options, including general admission lawn seats ($25), covered amphitheater seating ($50), and reserved tables ($600). When purchasing tickets on Eventbrite, official merchandise and a limited number of preferred parking passes will be available as add-ons (additional fees apply). Free general parking will also be available within the Northwest Recreation Complex, where the Apopka Amphitheater is located.

For general admission lawn seating, one chair will be permitted into the event per ticket. However, tents, umbrellas, tables, outside food, and beverages are prohibited inside the event. Various food and beverage options will be available for purchase inside the venue. Gates open at 4:30 PM for a 5:30 PM show time.
