Apopka Police Department responds to robbery near Rock Springs Publix

The Apopka Police Department responded to a robbery near the Rock Springs Publix at the Wekiva Plaza (1545 Rock Springs Road) this evening.

According to the APD, the robbery involved a person and not Publix. No shots have been fired.

The suspect is not in custody, according to the APD.

The APD is still on the scene.

This is a developing story and will be updated by The Apopka Voice when more details are known.

    The robber is still at large, that's that good. The robber will do it again, no doubt, if not caught. We all better be alert and careful.

    Correction: that's not good....is what I meant, sorry, I need reading glasses. Rode out on Phil's Lane, off of Poncan Road, to show my girl dog the cows, as she loves looking at cows. It was heartbreaking, as they were gone, and the giant oaks they had stood under were bulldozed, and the land clearcut. I watched that one calf grow up, and carried on about the big black bull that had a diamond shaped white spot on its head. I don't know, but I guess they were took to slaughter. That is so sad to me. I noticed the oak tree, or trees, in front of the city dog park, where you park, has been cut down also. It looks very bare. Are there going to be any trees left around here in these parts?
