The Apopka Recreation Department is offering a Winter Camp for children ages 6 to 11 who need care during the Winter Break. The camp will be held at the Billie Dean Community Center and will run from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm on scheduled dates in late December and early January.
Designed to provide both structure and fun, Winter Camp will feature a mix of educational activities, arts and crafts, and recreational games, giving children an engaging way to spend their break while parents are at work.

The first week of camp will take place on December 22, 23, and 24, 2025, with a field trip to ICE! at Gaylord Palms. Campers attending that trip should bring a brown-ba lunch, a snack, and a water bottle.
The second week will run December 29, 30, and 31, 2025, and January 2, 2026, and includes a field trip to Dave & Buster’s, where lunch will be provided. Campers should still bring a snack and a water bottle.
The City of Apopka will be closed on December 25 and 26, 2025, and January 1, 2026, and no camp will be held on those dates.
Camp fees vary by week and residency status. Week 1 costs $48 per child for residents and $60 for non-residents, while Week 2 costs $64 for residents and $80 for non-residents. Additional field trips may include bowling, movies, the Science Center, Camp Wewa, and local parks.
