An Apopka man was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash in Lake County that also resulted in the death of an Ocoee man.
Ellis Holmes, 59 of Ocoee, and Guy Mitchell, 52 of Apopka were traveling westbound on County Road 42 in Paisley riding motorcycles yesterday around 4:20PM. As the two men entered a curve, both motorcycles went down. It remains under investigation whether or not the two motorcycles made contact with each other. Ellis then traveled off of the road and struck a pole. He died from the injuries resulting from the crash. Mitchell sustained serious injuries and was transported to Florida Hospital - Waterman in Lake County. Both men were wearing a helmet according to the FHP.
