An Apopka man was arrested in Clearwater for allegedly attempting to rob two gun stores in three days.
According to the arrest report from the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, Jeremy Middleton, 24, of Apopka, attempted to break into the Arms for Defense gun shop in Clearwater on Friday and Sicarios Gun Shop in Melbourne on Wednesday, January 4th.

According to the report, Middleton fled the scene when deputies arrived, and led them on a chase from the gun shop, but was apprehended and arrested without incident with the help of a K-9 unit. Deputies also found a handgun underneath the seat of a vehicle Middleton had allegedly stolen. The gun was reported stolen from Sicarios Gun Shop in Melbourne days earlier.
Over the weekend, officers from the Melbourne Police Department went to Middleton’s residence in Apopka and found all of the guns reported stolen from Sicarios Gun Store - 14 in total.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives is also investigating the case.
Middleton is facing six charges, including burglary, grand theft of a motor vehicle, and resisting an officer. He is currently in custody at the Pinellas County Jail with bail set at $30,150.
