Apopka Historical Society brings the 3rd Annual Nutcracker Christmas to town

Posted

The Nutcracker is a timeless ballet that weaves together magic, music, and a touch of holiday wonder. This beloved classic, set to Tchaikovsky's iconic score, unfolds a fantastical tale of Clara, a young girl whose journey on Christmas Eve takes a magical turn. From the whimsical Land of Sweets to the fierce battle between the Nutcracker Prince and the Mouse King, The Nutcracker is a holiday tradition that captivates audiences with its enchanting choreography, dazzling costumes, and a sprinkle of holiday magic that transcends generations.

But in Apopka, the music, magic, and wonder of the Nutcracker can only be seen in one place.

The Apopka Historical Society invites you to join us for the Third Annual Nutcracker Christmas! This festive holiday event features a display with hundreds of nutcrackers, a visit with Santa, bounce houses, food vendors, seasonal entertainment, face painting, and crafts. There will also be chance drawings for children’s bicycles, gift baskets, and other prizes. The event's highlight will be a live performance of “The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy” by Tchaikovsky performed by the Mt. Dora School of Ballet.

The gift shop will be open for your holiday shopping. This event is FREE for children 12 and under. Adult admission is $5 or $10 for VIP tickets.

Please join us on December 17th from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M. The event will be at the Museum of Apopkans, 122 East 5th Street in Apopka, conveniently located behind Apopka City Hall. For more information, please contact us at theapopkamuseum@gmail.com or call 407-703-1707.
