From the City of Apopka and Staff Reports
The City of Apopka is changing its garbage and recycling collection in 2025, starting next week.
Starting January 7th, garbage will be picked up on Tuesdays and Fridays in the following areas (refer to the below map) starting January 7, 2025. Recycling will be picked up on Wednesdays during the “Yellow” weeks starting January 8, 2025. Your bulky and yard waste pickup will NOT change.

- Neighborhoods: Breckenridge, Bronson’s Ridge, Bronson’s Peak, Lakeside Estates, and Vistas at Waters Edge
- Streets: Boyscout Rd., E. Marshall Lake Rd., & Bradshaw Rd.
This only affects the current City of Apopka residents. If you are currently serviced by Orange County with the carts with the blue or green lids, your service will NOT be affected. The city is growing, and we need to re-balance the routes in order to make the best use of your staff and equipment. Thank you for your patience!
