Apopka Fire Department begins its hiring campaign

After adding 18 firefighters to the 22/23 budget, the hiring begins

In its 2022/23 budget, the Apopka City Council approved 18 additional firefighters, a training officer, a health and safety officer, and a quality assurance officer while also retrofitting the current fire stations. The upgrades in personnel and to the stations cost approximately $1.2 million.
Now, in the first week of the new budget cycle, the recruiting has begun with a post on the Apopka Fire Department Facebook page calling for new hires.
The Apopka Fire Department is currently seeking qualified and, most importantly, dedicated Firefighters to join our team.
Applicants should be willing to passionately serve the Apopka community while embracing our established culture and, above all else, have the ability to be your best when your best is needed the most!
