As the President of the Apopka Historical Society and on behalf of all who deeply appreciate Orange County's rich history and vibrant community, especially the Northwest area, I would like to offer my heartfelt congratulations on the momentous occasion of the county’s 200th anniversary.
This bicentennial celebration is a testament to the vision, resilience, and determination of those who have shaped Orange County over the past two centuries. It is a time to honor the past's legacy, recognize the present's achievements, and embrace the promise of a bright future.
It was reassuring to hear Orange County leadership's steadfast commitment to supporting the county's history, museums, and the arts. Let this legacy flourish, fostering growth while preserving the unique character that makes Orange County so special.

Here in The Northwest part of the County, we look forward to expanding the reach of our museum, growing the arts, and creating opportunities for cultural engagement. Together, we can honor the past while building a vibrant future that reflects our community's diversity, creativity, and resilience. The Apopka Historical Society's mission remains to preserve the stories, landmarks, and artifacts that define our past while fostering a deep appreciation for the arts and cultures that enrich our lives today. We are firm in continuing this work with passion and dedication, ensuring that the stories of the past play a vital role in connecting us to our roots and inspiring future generations to treasure our shared heritage and the history that shapes Orange County. As I reflect on our community's rich history and vibrant culture, let us look to the future with optimism and ambition.
Together, we have the power to shape the next chapter of our history, one that prioritizes arts, culture, and the expansion of our museum as a cornerstone of our shared legacy. We must dream Big. Let 2025 be the year where we set bold goals and make the arts and the museum a priority for our administration. A steadfast commitment to investing in and expanding our museum will preserve our history and create a cultural hub that inspires, educates, and connects our community.
Brinkerl and Stu Worobetz COO, Orange County Regional History Center.
By working together, we can ensure the museum becomes a beacon of creativity. Let's put our shared vision into action and make 2025 a defining moment for arts and culture in our city.
May this milestone inspire continued collaboration and steadfast progress for all who call Orange County home.
Congratulations once again on this historic achievement!"
