From Staff Reports and the City of Apopka
Each year, Americans come together on July 4th to honor the day in 1776 when the Declaration of Independence was adopted, marking the birth of a new nation founded on liberty and self-determination. From the crackle of fireworks to the familiar notes of patriotic music, the Fourth of July has become a time-honored tradition of celebration, remembrance, and community across the country.
And in Apopka, that tradition continues in spectacular fashion.
The City of Apopka invites residents and visitors to celebrate Independence Day on Friday, July 4th, with a free, family-friendly event at the Apopka Amphitheater from 6 PM to 9 PM. The evening will be packed with live music, food, kid-friendly activities, and a dazzling fireworks finale.
Headlining the celebration is Private Stock Band, known for their world-class talent and high-energy performances. The group will deliver a nonstop concert featuring an eclectic mix of Top 40 hits, Motown, Classic Rock, Latin, Country, and tributes to Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks, all leading up to a powerful Whitney Houston tribute to America.
Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the show comfortably. Food vendors will be on site, and the amphitheater’s spacious lawn at the Northwest Recreation Complex provides plenty of room for families to spread out and enjoy the evening.
In addition to the music and fireworks, kids can enjoy games and activities designed to keep young ones entertained while parents relax and enjoy the show. It's an evening that offers something for everyone—whether you're dancing to the music, savoring a bite from a local food truck, or simply soaking in the community spirit.
The night concludes with a spectacular fireworks show, illuminating the sky in a vibrant tribute to the red, white, and blue.
Don’t forget to mark your calendar—this is one celebration you won’t want to miss.
