The Apopka Burglary Report for the week 1/09/2017 - 1/16/2017 shows 52 burglaries reported in the City of Apopka.
WHOA! 52 burglaries. The most reported burglaries for any week ending in 2016 was 35 on August 1, 2016. With 33 burglaries reported for week ending Jan 1, 2017 and now this, we're either seeing a sad trend for Apopka in the new year or, hopefully, we've seen the record setting high for the year... for many years.
Apopka Chief of Police Michael McKinley has asked us to remind everyone that many of this week's vehicle burglaries could have been prevented if everyone remembers to do two things:
