Independence Day in America is a time when friends and family come together to celebrate the birth of our nation. It's a day filled with patriotic pride, fireworks, delicious food, and fun outdoor activities. A great 4th of July celebration not only honors our country's history and traditions but also provides an opportunity to create lasting memories with loved ones.
In Apopka, that celebration will include music, food, and fireworks.
The City of Apopka is thrilled to announce its Fourth of July Celebration at the Apopka Amphitheater featuring David J and Emily Henline, two emerging young talents of Nashville. This celebration is set for Thursday, July 4, 2024 from 6 PM to 9 PM. This free family-friendly event promises to ignite the patriotic spirit of Independence Day with live music from our Nashville guests, local vendors, fireworks, and more!
David J, a twenty-year-old phenom, has been making waves in the music industry with the release of his major label debut project, "Commitment Issues.” Infusing a fresh edge and pop crossover to country music. David J captivates audiences with his smooth, energetic delivery, relatable lyrics, and determination to push genre boundaries, earning him a dedicated following and making him a standout in today's music scene.
Opening for David J is special guest Emily Henline, another promising talent based out of Nashville. With her debut single, “Boots Fits,” Emily is ready to take the stage and make her mark on the music world. Her soulful voice and authentic storytelling resonate with audiences, promising a poised acoustic performance that will leave a lasting impression.
The July Fourth Celebration, presented by the City’s Parks and Recreation Department, is a highlight event for friends and families throughout the community. In addition to live music, attendees can look forward to:

- Face Painting, Climbing Tower, Bounce Houses, and more!
- Fireworks
Free parking is available within the Northwest Recreation Complex, where the Apopka Amphitheater is located. Guests are welcome to bring chairs and blankets for lawn seating or take advantage of free covered seating under the Apopka Amphitheater.
