Apopka Art and Foliage Festival Offers Art and Nursery Tours

On Saturday, April 23rd and Sunday, April 24th, the 2016 Art and Foliage Festival will turn Kit Land Nelson Park into an outdoor art gallery. Approximately 120 entries of juried fine arts and creative handcrafts will fill the park for the 55th Annual Apopka Art and Foliage Festival. Artists from all areas will converge in Apopka to feature their paintings, pottery, jewelry, sculptures, and much more at the two day outdoor festival. Budding artists from local schools will also have the opportunity to display their works of art.

Over twenty local nurseries will be on site to help you select the perfect plants for your home and garden. You can also hop on one of the Festival's buses and take a firsthand tour of working nurseries and see where Apopka's world famous foliage is grown. Apopka is known as the “Indoor Foliage Capital of the World” because of the multi-million dollar foliage industry and celebrated agricultural heritage. Each year, the Apopka Art and Foliage Festival offers different tours. A wide variety of nurseries in Apopka provide over half the indoor foliage sold by retailers around the Country.
