Apopka-area businesses gain new resource with launch of West Seminole Council

The Seminole County Chamber is launching the West Seminole Council to support businesses along the Semoran Boulevard corridor that connects Downtown Apopka to the 434/436 area. The new council will provide networking, resources, and access to the region’s 20,000 residents and 1,600 businesses. Monthly meetings begin February 2 at the Bahia Shrine in Apopka and will feature business development experts and partner organizations.

If you live or work in the West Seminole–East Apopka corridor, a new opportunity is on the way to help your business grow. The Seminole County Chamber is launching the West Seminole Council, a regional group designed to strengthen connections between Apopka-area business owners, customers, and neighboring commercial districts.

Stretching along Semoran Boulevard from Downtown Apopka to the State Road 434/436 intersection, this corridor is home to more than 20,000 residents and 1,600 businesses. Its influence spans well-known communities such as Sweetwater, Wekiva, Bear Lake, and Piedmont-Wekiva — all prime markets for Apopka-area entrepreneurs.

By joining the West Seminole Council, local businesses can collaborate with dozens of peers who share the goal of capturing and serving this flourishing regional audience.

The council’s first meeting will be held on February 2, featuring Jessica Rosario-Fortis, director of the Florida SBDC at Seminole State College’s Center of Business Development. 

The West Seminole Council will meet on the first Monday of every month from 11:30 am to 1 pm at the Bahia Shrine, just west of Hunt Club Blvd., 3101 E. Semoran Blvd., Apopka, FL 32703.
