APD Arrests Former Apopka School Teacher

Apopka Police arrested Donald Sharp today on a warrant for Sexual Battery with a victim under 12 years of age. He is currently being held without bond at the Orange County Jail.

In May 2015, a child approached an Apopka Police Department School Resource Officer and disclosed details of a sexual battery by her former teacher, Donald Sharp. Sharp was employed at the time by Orange County Public Schools as a teacher for Apopka Elementary School. A thorough investigation was completed by Detectives, and charges were filed with the State Attorney’s office. Sharp is no longer employed as a teacher with OCPS.
