July on HBO Max promises a dynamic mix of premieres, ranging from pulse-pounding thrillers and international dramas to music documentaries and quirky comedies. Kicking things off on July 1 is a slate of new arrivals, including horror classics like Annabelle and Get Out, critically acclaimed dramas like Carol and Dances With Wolves, and a batch of reality favorites returning with new seasons.
The big draw this month is Sinners, Ryan Coogler’s highly anticipated vampire thriller, premiering exclusively on Max July 4. Set in a sun-drenched Southern city plagued by a rise in blood-sucking attacks, the film blends horror, action, and social commentary—hallmarks of Coogler’s storytelling style.
Fans of international crime dramas can look forward to Furia (Rage), a gripping Spanish series debuting July 11. A24 continues its strong collaboration with Max, releasing On Becoming a Guinea Fowl on July 4 and the dark comedy Death of a Unicorn—starring Jenna Ortega and Paul Rudd—on July 25. Music lovers won’t want to miss Billy Joel: And So It Goes, an HBO Original documentary arriving July 18. The film delves deeply into Joel’s storied career, featuring rare footage and interviews.
Also on the menu: the return of 90 Day Fiancé, Celebrity IOU, and new animated adventures in The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball on July 28. Whether you're looking for thrills, heartfelt stories, or something the whole family can enjoy, HBO Max’s July 2025 lineup brings variety, depth, and a touch of the unexpected.
