Along with back to school events being held at the John Bridges Center and the Alonzo Williams Community Center, there are two more events in Apopka today, and two others in the coming weeks.
TODAY:
KID’S SAFETY DAY
From 1-4PM today at Hurricane Grill & Wings located at 2209A East Semoran Boulevard in Apopka. The event is hosted by The Apopka Police department and it features a Meet and Greet with the Police K9 Unit, a show and tell with the armored SWAT vehicle, child fingerprinting.
It is also an opportunity for children to learn safety skills through fun activities.
BACK TO SCHOOL BASH
From 10AM – 2PM join the Apopka Police Department at The Chick-fil-A at 3050 East Semoran Boulevard in Apopka. There will be a special appearance by the Chick-fil-A cow, Carl the Safety Bear, and a chance to enter and win a backpack full of supplies and a school supply starter kit.
AUGUST 11th:
BACK TO SCHOOL BASH
This time at Lake Avenue Park in Apopka (439 Lake Avenue). This is a free event sponsored by the Apopka Police Department. There will be crafts, fun and giveaways. The Back to school bash is from 3-5PM.
AUGUST 19th and 20th
2017 Florida Kids and Family Expo
This event is sponsored by Orlando Health and the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. The hours are 10AM-5PM on Saturday, and 11AM-5PM on Sunday.
